FTi Kortrijk is a six-day festival where technology and innovation come together. Discover the latest developments, innovations, and technologies shaping our future. It consists of 5 sub-festivals, namely Club of the Future, FuturED, Learning Bytes Festival, B2B Conference, and Unwrap Arena – a week full of digital, interactive experiences focusing on the future of living, learning, and working, in collaboration with our own Flemish Game & Educational Technology. 

Additionally, DAE has a place in the FTI story. One of the group projects is featured in the Unwrap Arena & Expo for play:  

Otterworldly: 'A mechanimal story'.  

In a not-too-distant future, mechanical animals will be created to clean up and protect the environment. Take control of Otto, the mechanical otter, and clean up the waste in the canals with the help of your guiding ball. Collect enough waste to open the gates and progress further in the level.   

Also, Studio Waterzooi, founded by DAE alumnus Thomas Meynen, is showcasing their latest release: 'Please, Touch the Artwork 2'. 

If you complete the Unwrap Arena Expo entirely, you'll conclude with our Student Expo decorating the walls of ‘Budafabriek’.  Apart from the expo, you could visit Budascoop for three consecutive screenings of some well-known films. Showcasing production of Belgian origin: 

• Fox and Hare Save the Forest 
• Jack & The Cuckoo-Clock Heart 2013 
• Preceded by an exclusive live interview with Sam Verschraegen, DAE alumnus now animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Dirk Lambrecht, our major coordinator of the 3D Animation track, talking about Sam’s involvement in the production of these three movies.
